Whether you are welcoming the pitter-patter of tiny feet, changing a name or blending two families as one, a naming ceremony is the perfect opportunity to mark the occasion!
What is a naming day ceremony?
Typically, it’s the opportunity to officially name or welcome a child into the world, whilst declaring in front of family and friends that you promise to be a good parent. Within the UK, often people choose to organise a naming ceremony in place of a christening – but as an Independent Celebrant, I can write a ceremony that reflects your wishes, hopes and dreams for your little one, whether that be including certain elements of spirituality, any faith, or none at all.
What to expect
I’ll write and deliver you a bespoke, family-friendly ceremony that will mean you can relax, spend time with your guests and enjoy the day!
It may include poems or music that are special to you or include words in honour of loved ones who can’t be present. We can create fun elements such as creating a time capsule or memory box, a wish tree, or plant seeds or bulbs. Like all of my ceremonies, the only limit is imagination!
Ceremony prices for 2024 start from £300 – please check for availability. Bookings for 2025 start from £300.

Lovage Ceremonies have the perfect keepsake for you – your poem/special words printed on quality stock paper within a classic white, modern, wooden frame, and finished off with a die-cut heart. Treasure the memory of a reading or poem from the ceremony and have it on display as ‘pride of place’ in the nursery!
